We were here for the second time - the ambience is unique - a rare symbiosis of nature, art, culture and top gastronomy. The hosts Christine and Matthias and their team took care of all our concerns with particularly personal attention. Matthias, a real Engadiner from Pontresina, gave us valuable tips that enriched our stay far beyond the usual - he even provided us with itineraries for automobilistic star trips - we would have liked to come back in the summer - but the castle is unfortunately now closed for some time due to revitalization.

A great place to relax for a few days. Fine food and drink. Enjoy the wonderful hammam. The lift takes you directly down to the hammam. Around the hotel you can go on small winter hikes. It's fantastic. Enjoy a drink on the terrace. In the evenings, you can indulge in culinary delights in the restaurant or the red bar. There is a small game room with cute pinball boxes, pool billiards etc. The hotel is also a gallery / museum, but absolutely allow enough time to visit everything. It has exciting art to discover on all floors. There is a small, fine library with many art books in the bar. In the hotel room has a tea maker with fine tea to choose from, no coffee machine.

The free pick-up service at the station worked perfectly. I immediately felt comfortable at check-in – the staff are extremely warm and authentic. The top floor room offered breathtaking views of the valley and mountains. The house is full of art and can also compete with contemporary museums in terms of quality. The rock bath of Tadashi Kawamata was a favorite place for me: an idyllic place in nature, ideal for relaxing, enjoying the sun or reading books. The sun terrace offers a cosy and welcoming Mood thanks to discreet music and skins. The breakfast room is wonderful and the buffet shone with a large amount of outstanding ingredients. The omelette from the kitchen was impeccable. The atmospheric and extraordinary hammam from the renowned Amsterdam architecture studio UNStudio was an exciting experience, which you can kindly continue to use even after check-out. The house is surrounded by nature and is also a starting point for walks and hikes.
