Ibis Luzern Kriens Hotel

An incredible hotel located just minutes from the Kriens train station, which allowed us to make connections to visit beautiful towns in the surrounding area, as well as being 5 minutes from the Lucerne station, from where you can access any destination in Switzerland. It is well above the average of any Ibis (the room was very spacious, including the bathroom, and even had a refrigerator, which is not usual in this category). Unique price-quality ratio. The service was spectacular, the breakfast was well-stocked, and the rooms were comfortable and bright. Their staff was extremely polite and kind to every request we made. Honestly, we do not understand how it does not have a better rating on Trip; as far as we are concerned, it was an unbeatable stay. Recommended 100%

DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL! We were stolen inside that hotel. They simply stole all the euro (in kind) we had inside the safe in our room. This money is reserved for the next stop of the trip since in Switzerland it is used franc. At least they left the passports (IRONIA). When notified the reception and hotel management of what had happened, they made little question. At the time, we did not call the local police because we were on tight schedule for departure to Milan. But when we arrived at the train station of Lucerne, we learned of the existence of a police station nearby and there we went to register a bulletin of occurrence. Police officers said they were not surprised to see the existence of other similar cases, but they could not go to the scene to collect digital files for expertise because we did not trigger them at the time. OBS: The tip remains, if something similar happens with you, call the police at the same time. Of course, if you have a schedule available. In short, I no longer stay at this hotel or anywhere in the same network. Insecurity and reluctance toward the guest. By the price offered, depending on the season and region, there are better options. Not worth the headache.

I have stayed at several Ibis properties in the past and have come to expect a consistent standard of cleanliness, comfort, and basic amenities. Unfortunately, our experience at this location fell short of those expectations. The condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. There was visible black mold in the grout and on the showerhead—something that not only reflects poor maintenance but also poses a health risk. Additionally, the towels were covered in mildew spots, which is both unhygienic and unacceptable at any accommodation. Secondly, we were surprised and disappointed to find that there was no Wi-Fi available during our stay. In today’s travel world, reliable internet access is not a luxury but a basic necessity, especially for guests who rely on it to plan ongoing travel arrangements. This lack of connectivity caused significant inconvenience for us. I would like to acknowledge, however, that the front desk staff member on duty was extremely courteous and went out of his way to assist us, particularly in trying to find nearby alternatives to access Wi-Fi. Their professionalism and willingness to help were very much appreciated. While I understand that occasional issues can arise, the combination of poor room cleanliness and the absence of basic amenities such as Wi-Fi made our stay unsatisfactory. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and I trust that steps will be taken to address these problems so that future guests do not face the same issues.
