Very pretty place, nice room, great pool. But the service, a disaster. The staff does not know what a smile is, or even a hello in any language. The terrace, 3/4 empty, turns away customers, "we are at max capacity with the staff." Disheartening. The Swiss hotel industry is in bad shape.

Not recommended for families with children We had a very upsetting experience at this hotel. During breakfast, a member of staff shouted aggressively at our 8-year-old daughter after she accidentally spilled some cereal. Instead of handling a minor accident involving a child calmly, she continued speaking rudely to us and even told us that we needed to “educate our children.” There was no apology. Our daughter was extremely upset by the incident and did not want to return to the breakfast room the following morning. Although we had already paid for that breakfast, we chose not to use it because of what had happened. We explained the situation to the hotel, but unfortunately we felt that management did not take appropriate responsibility for the incident and refused to offer any compensation for the breakfast we could not use. We stayed one more night only because changing hotels at that point was not practical, and left first thing the following morning. We also found the hotel generally unsuitable for families with children. Smoking around the pool and in other areas was another significant negative for us. The location by the lake is beautiful, but based on the way our 8-year-old daughter was treated and the hotel's response afterwards, we cannot recommend this hotel to families with children.

Do not book this hotel! Checked in at the hotel and arrived at the room where it is almost 40 degrees. We were told and promised by phone that there was air conditioning. This can also be seen in photos of the rooms on the website. After asking at the reception, we where told that the air conditioning has not been allowed on for a year due to not obtaining a permit from the municipality. There is no disclaimer on the site or anything is mentioned during booking. When looking for a solution to this problem, we are only offered a table fan. As if you can cool a room under the roof back to an acceptable level. According to the reception, there is no other option. They find it normal to let people stay in a room of almost 40 degrees for over 1 week. Then we made arrangements with the hotel (there was no management in the hotel) to leave. Because what was agreed is not delivered and you cannot let people stay in these circumstances and these temperatures. Then we find out that during the return trip home the hotel has looted our entire credit card without giving any reason and without permission. After repeated requests, there is no response or comment from the hotel. Money was not refunded either. How do you call people who steal money……….
