MINOTEL DE L AIGLE

We went to Hotel d'Aigle for a weekend getaway and found the hotel and restaurant quite nice. However, the price of the room was extremely high (about 230 CHF per night) and it wasn't even one of the better rooms. The furniture was rather minimal (though what was there is very nice and solid wood), the bathroom very small, and the flooring seemed cheap and synthetic. The Val-de-Travers is a little out of the way in Switzerland, but is scenic and has some nice low-key attractions, though very few hotels (perhaps explaining the very high price).

Nice building stylishly decorated. Friendly and hospitable welcome! Helpful and child-friendly even with not so experienced French skills. Gladly another time!

From the outside, the HÔTEL RESTAURANT DE L’AIGLE is unfortunately not particularly welcoming. When we entered the house, however, our impression changed. We were welcomed nicely, and discovered the charm of the old building. Our room was clean, the bathroom very small, but that is due to the premises in the old walls. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent, the service competent and polite. Breakfast the next morning also left nothing to be desired. We can recommend the hotel / restaurant.
