stayed with family in early August 2026. The hotel definitely is a grand hotel that stands out in the valley. Its architecture and ambience is amazing. Positives: Hanna one of the staff members at breakfast was just amazing! Such warmth and hospitality and and genuine nature was really appreciated. Thank you. Negative: The Gin bar was a waste of time. The barman was rude and looked like he did not want to be there. I ordered a drink which was ok. But seemed watered down. I could not taste much! The next day my bank statement showed that he had charged me double! I went to query with him when he was next at work, but he was so rude and did not want to be any help! I did not keep any receipt and wanted to point out the error. I am annoyed that he was very dismissive and could not care any less. This left a very bad impression. Avoid at all cost! or check your bank statement to make sure it does not happen to you too! The room we stayed had three beds in the old part of the hotel overlooking the mountains. whilst the room and beds were fine, there was no ac or coffee making facility or mini fridge in room. The nights were very 🥵 hot. The hotel rooms creak if someone in the next room is walking. The other point is that the sink is placed outside the bathroom. The toilet and showers are small and adequate but seperate. We thought the room and balcony looking out on to the mountains was amazing. Breakfast was ok. fairly basic continental. The worst part was the carpet at least in room 225 it had stains on the floor and was in dire need of replacement. The hotel has the grandiose presence and is very nice and within 5mins walk to the train station. We enjoyed our stay on the whole. We also enjoyed the walk up to the hotel though the tunnels.. quite unique and definitely giving the Shinning movie vibes.

Had a 3 night stay here on June - 24, 25 & 26, 2026 in room 54 of this hotel. This hotel suffers from server Wi-Fi issues - experienced spotty Wi-Fi both inside this room & even in the reception also. The hotel desk has complimentary cookies (2 per pack) & behind it are glass cupboards with local paraphernalia like cow bells, cow figurines, thermal jackets, alcohol bottles etc. This is a 3* hotel with sauna facilities. There are 2 chilled tunnels & lifts/elevators to navigate in order to reach the hotel reception from the road. Trolleys for suitcases were provided & the hotel has a nice balcony view near the reception. The view from our room of the Swiss alps was magnificent. The Mount Titlis experience is at a walkable distance from this hotel. This hotel allows 3rd party caterers to occupy their -1 level, & serve Indian food in a group hall for large tour groups (40+) people.

The hotel looks majestic with panoramic view of mount Titlis.reaching the hotel is a herculean task with two lifts&a small tunnel to counter before reaching reception.it has an avid anti indian staff especially at the dining room.specific tables are kept for indians even if there is no one at the dining room.we were around 30 tourists from india.on april10 night when four of us sat to eat at a different table they were forced to occupy seats in the table meant for indians.It is a disgrace to the paid guest who has started eating his food&will not be done anywhere in the world.my daughter went to the dispensing machine to collect a glass of juice&she was prevented from drinking it as she went there a few minutes after dinner.no such rules for the 'whites'who can sit anywhere they want.I have taken up the matter with Govt.of india&has recommended for blacklisting this hotel.food&accommodation is above average and view is wonderful but can't enjoy it due to negative attitude&racialism by some female staff
