We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had a room facing south. There were trees in front of the room, which kept the sun's heat out in the afternoon. The room was very clean. The breakfast was a buffet and the selection was very large. Hot egg dishes were also available upon request. A 4-course menu was offered in the evening. There was a large selection at the salad buffet, and the quality of the food was very good. The wellness area and the swimming pool, as well as the outdoor sunbathing area, are worth highlighting. The very soft bed and the fact that there was hardly any vegetable selection at breakfast were negative. The parking fee for the vehicle was refunded because we had parked at the parking lot at the Morschach valley station.

The food at the Wellnesshotel Stoos was a big disappointment for us. The dishes were completely tasteless and very bland! The fish and the vegetables were prepared in hot water without spices or flavorings. For a 4-star hotel, the standard of the food is simply not appropriate. If you want to eat well and tastefully, then do NOT go there!

We stayed two nights in the Gasthaus that is adjacent to the hotel. We checked in at the main hotel and we were offered a welcome drink which was a nice touch. The staff were great as well! We did the half-board for one of our dinners and it was a delicious four course meal. The restaurant staff were fabulous as well. The breakfast options were many. They also ask if you’d like to order eggs and offer many different ways to prepare them. We also added the “Wellness” package to the day we got done with the Stoos Ridge hike and our muscles were sore. It was nice to relax in the whirlpool. It was 20 CHF per person. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows. One thing we did not like was the cigarette smoke smell in the hallway of the building as well as the smell that drifted up to our room from someone smoking outside. There was one woman who seemed to live in the building who was outside of the doors smoking just about every time we were leaving the building. I would definitely stay here again but I think I’d choose to stay in the main hotel.
