Holiday Inn Lugano Centre

Although the structure has potential, the management of the hotel leaves much to be desired. My experience with them demonstrated a total lack of respect for others' time and work, prioritizing their own benefit at the expense of professional ethics. It is deplorable to find such unserious management in a place like this; I do not recommend it if you are looking for fair and professional treatment.

Very good hotel 1/4 hour walk old Lugano, close to the lake. Beautiful modern and well equipped spacious rooms, convenient garage. An excellent breakfast. A very large basement pool with reduced wheelchair capacity and a terraced pool with a bar. The staff is French speaking and very efficient. very good value for money.

This hotel is located a short walk from a bus stop (No. 2), which is convenient for getting to the center of Lugano. It is also close to the pier if you feel like taking the boat. The receptionists speak impeccable French and are warm and attentive. The room with a small balcony is spacious and very clean and the bedding is extremely comfortable. The coffee machine is a nice plus but only two capsules are offered (2 CHF per extra capsule anyway). There are two swimming pools, one outdoor on the roof and one indoor. Television has several French-language channels (TF1, France 2, TSR, etc.). A small downside , the room rate in high season is quite high but this is the case for most hotels in this category in Lugano. For this price, I stayed in various hotels that had beautiful spas... I recommend it especially for its location and the quality of the welcome. If you come by car, remember to book parking (20 CHF per day).
