Frankly, very disappointing experience from start to finish. I booked this hotel in December, and was only informed a week before my arrival that the spa was under renovation. Seriously? It is impossible that an establishment of this standing would not be aware of works of this magnitude months in advance. This is a total lack of transparency and respect for customers.
No real compensation was offered to me. I was just suggested to go to another hotel’s spa... except that it didn’t even have a pool. Result: impossible to enjoy what was the main interest of my reservation.
The staff did not help, quite the contrary: cold welcome, sometimes even unpleasant, no consideration for the situation. There is a clear sense that the customer is disturbing.
As for the overall services, they are far, far from worthy of a five-star hotel. Between the absent services and the unprofessionalism, the value for money is totally unjustified.
I would definitely not recommend this property.
