Hotel Svizzero

First time in Switzerland and this is the first hotel I’ve visited here. Basic room but everything is very tidy, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, polite and you feel the courtesy. We enjoyed to stay here for business trip. Would love to be back again!

We arrived almost around midnight - the hotel was informed upfront - but when we stood in front of the room it was already occupied by someone else. We were given another room and the bed was really bad - you could not lie down and turn around without having the bed creaking in a very loud manner. Also the floor was squeaking when you walked in the room. You have no privacy in your bath room as the door is a transparent glass slider that separates the room from the toilet. People from other rooms could be heard. I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The staff however was very nice and they always served us late breakfast!

We were travelling to Lucerne on our return from Italy. When we saw the room we were shocked how basic it was for the price even taking into account that Switzerland is super expensive. The room was clean but very small. Internet as chronically slow. The lady who checked us in was pleasant but the girl who served (??) us breakfast was shocking. I think only three rooms were occupied but the quantity of the buffet was fine but she could hardly drag herself away from her cigarette and friends to make us a coffee. She lets the hotel down badly.
