Aparthotel Monte Rosa

Great location. Apartment is well equipped (filter coffee machine, nespresso machine, kettle, oven, microwave) and is functionally furnished. Apartment is spacious and clean. Wi-Fi was of lower quality (in the apartment where we sat). Car in the parking garage with a fixed place per apartment and very near apartment itself. In winter there is an early morning and late afternoon, an hourly extra stop of the train at the stop 'Täsch Monte Rosa' (summers too?). This stop is a comfortable 250-metre walk away. This makes it easy to travel to Zermatt. Otherwise you have to go to the real station of Täsch at 800 meters. There are also two supermarkets (Migros, COOP), but they seem to have a kind of 'pop-up' character. Are there only in winter?

We booked a 3-bed apartment along with a studio for our group. We were able to check in early with Marina who was very friendly and helpful. Both apartments were modern, stylish and clean. The 3-bed was on the ground floor. The 3 bedrooms are all different sizes, one is huge with a massive ensure with shower and bath, another room was quite large with a large wardrobe and the 3rd room is quite small with only a little storage. The 2 other bedrooms share a shower room. The kitchen/dining/sitting room is spacious and modern with great views of the mountains. The kitchen is quite well equipped with a dishwasher but there are not a huge amount of crockery so you did end up washing cups because there were enough to put the dishwasher on. Also there is no veg peeler. But there was a large fridge freezer and separate fridge. The apartment was very warm with plenty of adjustable radiators. The beds were super comfy and although the pillows are very soft, they are a bit thin. The showers were amazing Hansgrohe ones and there was always masses of hot water. The train service from the Monte Rosa station is useful. However the lady at the railway station at Täsch is not the most helpful. She told us the rail ticket is not included in the ski pass. Technically this is correct but you can have the rail ticket and ski pass loaded onto the same card. She didn’t even mention that you can get a multi day train ticket so we had started off buying individual tickets until we started asking lots of questions. But trains are good and clean. The Co-op shop in Täsch is also very useful but does shut at 18:30.

You will not regret staying at this hotel. Amazing rooms with modern fittings. The benifts are endless: the train station is less than a km away. You can always take a train to zermatt for chf 8.20 one way. Grocery store about less than 5 min away. The view is spectacular and the rooms even better. There's also a barbeque that is open to guests so you can always enjoy a good grill against the backdrop of snow capped mountains. Overall: best option!
