Convenience to travel was a primary factor in choosing our Switzerland hotels. The Schloss is only a few minute walk from the primary train station, so the location is super convenient. The hotel is also steps from the Gornergrat cogwheel train and it's close to the Sunegga funicular, so many of your possible Zermatt adventures are easily accessible. We had a Double Room + on the "new" section which was very nice. There was plenty of storage and the room was modern and clean. The Schloss had one of the superior breakfast buffet options that we encountered. In addition the buffet, omelets, fried eggs and options (those are free, others are paid) are offered. Coffee is provided by the servers and coffee and omelets came quickly. The gym at the Schloss is top-notch - more like what you'd find and high end health club. We didn't partake in any of the spa options, but did use the gym. If you like to get a workout in before or after hiking, the Schloss would be great for you. Zermatt was a much busier and "touristy" stop than other places we visited in Switzerland. More high-end chocolate shops and jewelry stores line the main street.

We had a great stay at Schloss Zermatt. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the railway station, which was very convenient with luggage. The staff were efficient, friendly and always helpful. The hotel has a very modern, stylish feel, and the wellness facilities were a real highlight. The amazing, very modern hammam was fantastic, and we particularly enjoyed having a swim every day in the heated pool. It was a wonderful way to relax after exploring Zermatt. Our room was quiet and comfortable. One thing to note in summer is that there is no air conditioning, although this wasn’t a major issue during our stay. The Matterhorn views are impressive, although they also include views across the town. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Great location, excellent facilities, quiet rooms and friendly service. We would happily stay at Schloss Zermatt again.

"Location, service, and facilities are all perfect." One minute from Zermatt station, check-in without complaint even though I arrived a little early, excellent facilities, sauna, luggage, and breakfast. A hotel I want to come back to. The afternoon tea ends exactly at 5 o'clock from 2 to 5, and it's just a shame I didn't experience it.
