Welschen

We went to the Welschen Bar und Stübli for dinner based on a recommendation. The ambiance is great. We had an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn all evening. The selection of dishes is perfectly adequate. The wine list is a reading experience of a special kind!! We had a super nice waiter who gave us straightforward recommendations for other restaurants as well. We were completely thrilled and booked another table right away. This evening was also sensational and wonderful. Many thanks to the dear team at the Welschen Bar und Stübli. However, we do have one small suggestion for improvement. It is not entirely clear that there are 3 restaurants in the same rooms. The Welschen Bar und Stübli and the ad Libum, as a Michelin-starred restaurant. That led to slight confusion for us and caused irritation at the beginning of the evening. This must be highlighted better and perhaps also be regulated differently by separating the rooms. But in the end, "complaining at a very high level"!! We would love to come back anytime.

Wonderful place to stay. Recently remodeled and looks brand new. Very clean and comfortable. Pull the curtains and view the Matterhorn from your bed. Very quiet. The balcony has great views of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Everything in town is within walking distance. The lobby is very comfortable with a drinks bar across from it. Breakfast is available and very delicious. The staff speaks English and are very friendly and helpful.
