Spent one night here as part of a private tour. This was marketed as a 5 star hotel but felt 3 star to us given the decor and feel. Plus loads of school kids on trips stayed here and I doubt their parents and schools would spend for a 5 star hotel!! If you need to spend a night here this place was fine. We had three beds. Bathroom was spacious and shower was fine. There are no sidewalks in Chiayi or basically outside of Taipei so we’re limited to going for food at the mall next door. This was fine, we found a nice Japanese place in the basement level. The breakfast buffet was ok but get there early if other hordes of tour buses are here cuz it was chaotic from 7-8 am to get food and seating. Staff was nice. Overall staying here is fine but don’t expect much in terms of feeling modern.

Ні! I'm a 12 year old kid that wants to share my experience. Pros: This hotel is very convenient and is connected to a mall - Nice Plaza - via the 5th floor. You can zoom in and out very easily. There are also very delicious food across the multiple restaurants they offer: BBQ, Buffet, Thai Restaurant etc. Good view. On higher levels they have great view of the beautiful city of Chaiyi (sorry if spelt wrong) They provided some cookies, tea, free conditioner for you to bring home and some cough pills candies to celebrate their 60th year anniversary. Nice Prince Hotel is located in a central area of Chiayi. Close to 7-11. Nice Plaza Shopping center next door has an underground walkway access from the hotel. Shopping plaza contains a Daiso Store and Uniqlo in addition to other stores and eateries. The eateries are located in the lowest level and contains Mos burger and other places to eat. The hotel is close to a Costco, a 5 minute drive away. There is even a KFC and a Mcd's across the street. The hotel is interesting, square shaped with a view of the 5th floor buffet area below. Excellent breakfast buffet with different areas for breads, drinks and breakfast items. There is an exercise room on the top floor, complete with exercise machines and an outdoor pool. The rooms are very nice inside. Refrigerator contains bottled water. The bathroom contains a glass enclosed shower and another glass enclosed toilet. There is a full sized tub. Nightly rates were very reasonable. Negatives: The bathroom is a little worn, the caulking was cracking and need of redo/repair. While the hotel is nice guess I expected a little more "niceties" in a Prince Hotel. I would rate this hotel as a 4 star hotel.
