We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family and had a mixed experience overall. The location is definitely one of its strongest points as it sits on a lovely hilly side of Hsinchu, overlooking a small recreational lake. From the outside, the hotel looks grand and impressive, giving a great first impression especially with the outdoor lightings at night. However, once you step inside, it becomes clear that the property has seen better days and could use some refurbishments. There was a faint old smoke smell lingering in the room, and the furnishings showed signs of age. The TV was an early-generation flat screen and not a smart TV, which felt a bit out of place by today’s standards. The bath towels were old and slightly yellowing. The hotel itself is quite big, spread across two or possibly three buildings. The basement entertainment area, including the swimming pool and indoor playground, seems geared more toward younger children. Families with tweens or older kids might find the facilities may not add value to your stay. Breakfast was decent but fairly average—nothing particularly memorable or standout. To sum it up, while the location of the hotel is appealing, the aging facilities and lack of modern updates made the stay feel less comfortable than expected.

A while ago, I was tired of living in a star-rated hotel. I took advantage of my daughter's three-day vacation and immediately arranged a trip. This time at the Yanbo Hotel Champs Elysees, it was very, very good. From the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone had their proper attitude. Basically, in the B1 facilities, children don’t want to come out after entering. Thank you to all the staff at Champs Elysées, it was a wonderful holiday. The housekeepers are all young children and work very hard. Although I did not ask for the room to be cleaned, the supplies were replenished at once, including all the drinks in the minibar in the refrigerator. The basement is a place to store children's hearts. The gym is very large, as is the swimming pool. Even the ball pool is divided between small children and older children. This is a very thoughtful facility.

Staying in Lakeshore Hsinchu was a pleasant experience with fabulous staff and the playground is super friendly and fun for the kids! We would definitely revisit as the price is reasonable and the food in the restaurant 醉月湖 is so delicious!
