Classic Hotel City Resort

Very good location, 5 min on foot from train/bus station. Room is good enough, roomy, bathroom with shower. Breakfast is normal. There is free bicycle, so you can go to dongdamen night market, its 10-15 min. Recommended.

Friendly and helpful service. We booked a “King Bed” room, modern and well furnished, above expectations, with lots of space inside the room. Location away from town centre but very handy to Hualien Train station which was ideal for us. Just 2 minutes walking to a large supermarket across the road. Highly recommended as the tour bus crowds are horrendous.

Classic City is our go-to hotel when we're visiting Hualien. The minute you step into the lobby, you feel like you're in a new place - it's quiet, cool, and calm. Check-in has always been efficient and we appreciate the free, onsite parking. Rooms are spacious, clean, and modern and are equipped with a hot water maker and tea and coffee (and locally made mochi!). Breakfast is included with your room and the dining room has both Western and Chinese options. The hotel seems to be in the middle of things; we enjoy walking the neighbourhood for dinner and shopping at the local grocery store. Absolutely no complaints with this place - we'll be back!
