CU Hotel Taichung

China Airlines Fukuoka 50th Anniversary Commemoration Celebration: We reward you for staying at two of our standard super deluxe class hotels (for the second and third nights) and bring you to us for the four days of the trip across Taiwan. This is the hotel for the first day. It is located in Taichung. I couldn't keep up with the schedule of the first day and I was panicked. Taiwan does not have amenities to deal with environmental issues. There is a convenience store a short walk away.

- Located beside the temple. Carrefour is located beside the hotel and is open 24 hours. - Friendly staff. Clean hotel. - The room is very big, clean and comfortable. When you lock the door, need to use the card.

On arrival at Taoyuan Airport, our driver picked us up & ferried us to Taichung. It took about 1.5 hour to reach C U Hotel. It is a simple 3-star hotel. The reception staff were polite, they were very quick to check us in. There were 2 lifts but they took quite a long time. They were small. We had to take separate lifts up as our luggage were huge. Our floor was decorated with benches & huge teddy bears. Very cute. We stayed for 1 night as we had to go Tainan the next day. The room was of comfortable size. Simple amenities. We had simple Taiwanese porridge, dishes like fried noodles & cabbage for breakfast. Toast breads & coffee or tea. Not too bad a spread. But if we were to go for breakfast earlier than 8am, it would be very crowded. At 8.30am, we saw a lot of tour buses at the entrance waiting for tourists in groups, they were from China. For a night stay, C U should be okay. Surrounding had a lot of shops but they were closed by 9pm. There is a temple behind the hotel, next to it is a nice restaurant selling Katsu & steamboat soups. You need to reserve seats as it is often crowded.
