The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are very nice and well-serviced. The staff are very attentive. The low points are due to the restaurant. We made a reservation for the Chinese restaurant on Level 3, arriving at 7.15pm. We ordered drinks immediately and food shortly after. We wished to order the signature dish, a full duck, to be told "sold out" - in fact no duck left at all. We ordered a range of appetisers and mains, all tasty. We ate happily until 8.30pm when we asked to order dessert. No way. Kitchen closed, no dessert available. Bizarre. From then on we were repeatedly hassled to pay and leave. What was particularly strange was that not far away a table of guests we took to be locals were continuously served by a staff of ca 8 inc the chef, and this went on until 9.30pm when we eventually left. Most disappointing and inexplicable to be honest. So, no. If you want western guests then meet us half way int terms of service.

I booked this hotel because it’s close to my relative, who recommended it. It’s clean and updated, lots of attentive staff around the building. We were upgraded to a suite (!!) which truly blew me away and made my trip! So we got a two bedroom king + queen suite with 1.5 baths. Slippers & robes provided. Shampoo & body wash were in the shower. But bring your own body lotion + conditioner. There is a “by donation” toiletry basket at reception (razor, shower cap, q-tips etc) but these two items were not available. They did provide a small bottle upon request. We had prepaid breakfast… had to pay for our third (child $400NT). Lots of drink selections, espresso, hot chocolate, hot soy milk, juice, hot/cold milk and more! Chinese, Japanese, North American, European Continental sections! And both days had different varieties! I would highly recommend adding the breakfast package! I also loved the water dispenser on our floor. You take your carafe and fill it up with hot/cold/room temp water. No issues with wifi. Japanese bidets were nice! Bedding was comfy. Mini fridge and coffee/tea in the room. Safe in the room. Reception, concierge, doorman/lady and housekeeping were all great! All mostly understood some English. There’s. 7/11 across the street. I really enjoyed my stay here, slept well, quiet room (no sound machine required ) was very comfortable. I highly recommend a stay here!

Stayed 2 times this year, all temporarily booked. But from the baggage reception to the checkin and the renovated room there are three warm early dinner It feels great, the environment is clean, the service is friendly, the meals are fresh and delicious
