Enjoyed the private onsen experience. One of the best hotels in Beitou, very Japanese feeling, we were in the cloud room which is one of the biggest since we were a family of 4, everything very clean, with two bathtubs and a resting bed where you can relax. 90 minutes are enough to fill the tub and enjoy the soak. The only thing i thought was missing was an amenity set, like a comb/brush. Towels and bottled water are provided for each guest. An experience worth doing if you happen to be in Taipei since Beitou is very easy to reach by mrt.

For one night, I only spent 6499! The moment I walked into the Gaga house in New North Phu, I almost forgot that I was still in Taiwan - the people wearing bathing suits, the wooden sound, the aroma of tamami, and sweets, all like arbitrary throw me into the Japanese hot spring country. We enjoyed a nice two night stay at Radium Kagaya with our baby. The hotel staff were very good at making our stay comfortable with a young baby. They provided amenities in the room, a steriliser, a bathtub, and the meals in the restaurant were tailored. We had the executive suite which meant our daughter could sleep in the bedroom while we stayed in the living room. This was a good idea in principle, but actually a lot of sound and light travels from the living room to the bedroom (the separation is only a screen divider, not an actual wall). So you can't keep the light on in the living room without it being very bright in the bedroom. So once our daughter was in bed, we had to sit in the living room in silence and darkness unfortunately. For part of that time it is possible to sit in the private Onsen. The food in the restaurant is very good, although can be repetitive. We decided to have lunch in the restaurant too, since they accommodated baby very well. It just means that we had the same meal 3 times, with some small variation. Perhaps the dinner set it best for those who stay 1 night, or 2 nights MAX.
