Fullon Hotel Taipei, East

2017 Dec 17-19. The family with the extended family had our quick getaway to Taipei. The trip consists mostly of zoo visit and tours. We had a glorious time, so we never managed to experience the hotel facilities too much. The proximity of the place to the tourist areas and price were consideration for the booking.

I was stayed in fullon hotel shenkeng for 3 nights for short trip in TW. Once I entered the lobby for check in, I felt everything is generally okay as 4 stars hotel; such as cleanliness, atmosphere etc. Although, there was small mistakes during check in, I think it is totally fine since hotel staff's attitude was very kind. Room condition was quite okay. Cozy room, wide TV, bigger restroom than I expected. However, there was only one thing makes me weird, it was bed cover with weird panda design.(I also found that that panda pictures are in many places in hotel, it was seems like hotel promoting that panda.) To be honest, that panda picture is seems like was drawn by kid, which means is not professional design. IT IS NOT PROPER DESIGN WITH 4 STARS HOTEL AT ALL.(Refer to attached picture) Without bed cover, overall in the room was totally fine for me. For the breakfast, I think it will be okay if this hotel only has local guests, because I found that western foods in breakfast section is almost same as nothing.... so I would like to recommend with F&B manager to prepare some basic western foods such as normal 4 stars hotel for foreign guests who from South Korea etc... I am from South Korea, and would like to inform that Korean is actually not get used to eat Taiwanese local foods as you thought. Summary. 1) Please change the design of bed cover in the room. 2) Prepare basic western cuisine in breakfast section. Without these 2 things, I was satisfy the staying with fullon hotel! For improvement, I leave 2 things may needs to improve as above. Hopefully, I will see the improved fullon hotel in next stay! Thank you.

We stayed here with a large group of university students and adults, and the overall consensus is that the rooms were good (but very humid - windows were frequently steamed up) There was good space in the basement for meeting as a large group. The pool was closed when we were here, so cannot speak to that. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices, but it wasn't as well received as some of the other hotels we stayed at. The food quality wasn't as good, and the coffee seemed very weak (almost decaffeinated) so people walked down the street to Luisa's Cafe for better coffee choices. We were using a tour bus to reach several different locations, so the location of the hotel worked fine for us. It isn't located in a tourist area, so the shops in the surrounding area are primarily for locals, although there are restaurants, cafes, and other shops that tourists might choose to visit.
