Wonstar Hotel

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to Ximending and the metro station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Our room had a bathtub and a hot shower, which made for a relaxing stay. Housekeeping was consistent, replacing our towels daily and providing fresh drinking water. One downside was that our room had no windows, and it would have been better with more hooks for drying clothes. However, we really appreciated the bidet and heated toilet seat, which added a touch of comfort. Overall, it was a good stay with great amenities.

For its price, it was the best hotel experience for us in Taipei. It's a 5-8 minute walk from the nearest station but you can see so many sights and sounds along the way. There's a convenience store and Mos Burger nearby just in case you want to eat breakfast right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful in terms of assisting us with check-in as well as other item requests. As for the room, it was very spacious and clean. There was enough room for us to fix our luggages as well as our clothes and gadgets. The wifi was fast and there was a lot of outlets for us to charge our gadgets and electronics all at once. Even their cable had decent channels to watch since from previous experience, there's not a lot of channels to watch in TV hotels so you don't bother using it. However, what I liked the most was their bathroom. Aside from being clean, while it wasn't very big, you don't feel like you're being cramped inside when taking a bath or using the toilet. The bathroom had a long table top area in which you can place a lot of toiletries on. Even the shower area had a table top area so it's possible to watch videos from your phone while taking a bath. The only gripes I had with the hotel are that the window in the bedroom area is too small and that the pillows were too big and chunky, which could hurt your neck while sleeping. But overall, we would definitely stay here should we return to Taipei.

Arrival at the hotel around 1.30 pm and was told check in must wait until 3pm onwards. The young male staff was super rude whose check us in was standing like a gangster and keep touching his finger like we own him a sun of money and his time!!! There is one young male staff whose be working night shift,given poor attitude by sitting down and stare at you when you are request something from him. Room condition was super bad. We could hear neighbour phone alarm clock ringing very early in the morning around 6am. The sound proof was so bad that we thought our phone alarm rang! Bathroom curtain have a very bad unpleasant smell and the room wall moulds is everywhere. It very dangerous to stand at a bathtubs to shower everydays. Even checked out time is at 12pm. They will start to called to your room at 1130am and start rushing you to checked out. It was so annoying where it still 30mins before checked out time and they try to chase you out of the room as early as possible so they can turn over the room for the next guest. Even you are late for few mins, they will want to charged you. Location is good that all.
