ECFA Hotel Kunming

Nice clean hotel on the 10th floor of the building. Good location for shops, resturants and clubs. Stayed there only because of the national holiday and most hotels were full. Would stay again but would not be my first choice. Good value for the price!

Nothing special, but close to most attractions. floor is old and dirty, room has a weird high roof but you can see that this wasn't originally a hotel. TV was broken which as disappointing. Hotel was hard to find, close to lots of food choices and easy access to subway.

Check in process is fast but attended by a not friendly female staff. We felt not welcomed at all. Lucky we are here for only 1 night. Hotel provide 24 hours plain bread and coffee machine (choices of drinks like: coffee latte, cappuccino, milk tea and etc). Also have washing machine and drier (Usage are not allowed during midnight). All these can be found near the reception area. We unlucky to have the room at the upper level which only can be accessed by stairs. So be prepared to dragged your luggage over narrow staircase. Staff didn't help to carry the luggage up. Room size is reasonable, still have area to walk after putting luggage on the floor. My room has no window but not stuffy. Toilet is spacious. Room and toilet are clean. WIFI: You can forget about it. We had problem even to connect to wifi. After connected, still very slow. It will takes forever to load. Location: 5-10 minutes walk to ximen station. Nearby has plenty of eateries. Mc'd and starbucks also nearby (less than 5 min walk).
