Lucky Apartment-Ximen

The pictures of the apartment is totally deceiving! We had a terrible stay in this apartment. 1. Toliet cover was spoilt. If you are not careful enough, you can slip into the toliet bowl. 2. Tap was so loose that you can only open with water if you hold the tap in the correct angle. 3. Hot water heater was useless! It won't last till the last person go bath. I had to wash up only in the next morning, as the water was so cold + the weather was so cold that night. 4. Hidden compartment in the rooms upstairs..we opened up the cover of e compartment, only to realise that it was empty. 5. Water is leaking from e hidden compartment in the room that end up I had to sleep on the sofa bed with my husband. 6. My sister in law found dead cockroach in the other room upstairs. End up she has to move the mattress to the living room and squeeze with us. 7. Super late check in, wondering how the cleaner/owner maintained the place, after a long hours of cleaning. (Checkout: 12 noon) 8. Weird sound coming from e rooms on the upper decks.. totally spooky feeling!! I dont recommend anyone to stay here again, even it is really cheap!

The location of the apartment is good, 10-15 mins walk to Ximen MRT Stn. Lots of local food around the area. The room are clean upon check in, but as it is an apartment there are no room service provide, so you need to keep the room clean yourself. The price for the room is a bargain. The counter staff is not actually friendly, but you can still get information, at a cafe nex door selling stuff like bread, burger, fried noodle etc, they are very friendly and the food are cheap. I paid only NT60 for a burger and a coffee. Each room is only isue with a key, attach with the key is a card reader to get access to the lift so it is troublesome as u need to leave and return in a group or try your luck if other residents who are returning.

The guy at the reception was more of a security guard but he had our keys when we checked in. We got our room number when we were booking the hotel online so there wasnt a need to check with the landlords.The room was very neat and towels were clean. There wasnt any housekeeping service but there was a washing machine in the hall way for any dirty clothes to be washed. Had to pay for it of course. Payment for the place was a bit of a hassle as there were only two choices: credit card which was available provided we went down to the main office at taipei 101 or cash up front. Luckily there was a bank nearby to change money for the payment. But that was the only problem we experienced at the place. other than that, it was very accessible to the station and the Ximending areas. The security guy recommended some places although it was kinda hard to figure it out through his accent.
