Capital Hotel Dazhi

I was very impressed with the politeness and service of the front staffs. Also I felt satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The location of the hotel is very good, close to the bus station, train station and the city centre. Highly recommend 👍

First impression walking in can be quite scary. As the decor is old Chinese palace oriental style. But don't worry, stayed and tested, it is not haunted. The room and bathroom is really big and clean. Housekeeping is really meticulous. Everything falls back in pack everyday like magic. Love the jacuzzi bathtub! Remember to bring bath salt. Toiletries are good quality, bath gel is made in Italy. Mini bar has a coke and pocari refilled everyday. 4 bottles of mineral water daily. Daily breakfast is quite repeated. But coffee, yogurt drink and cheese selection is good. Bacon and ham are soaked in hot water which is quite weird and tasteless thou.

I stayed in room 515, a twin room with very comfortable beds and a working desk. Old fashioned furniture including two comfortable armchairs in a huge room flooded with light from the big windows overlooking the street and car park. Bathroom had huge jacuzzi (slow to fill) with a separate power shower cubicle. Designer sanitary ware by Kohler in a well stocked mirrored bathroom. Toilet had a specific way of working by placing the flush handle aligned carefully. Breakfast was great with selection of breads - brown with walnut; rye. Cold fried eggs; selection of fresh fruits with plain yoghurt or apple yoghurt. Big choice of Asian vegetarian as well as meat dishes. I will definitely stay here again as it is in a very peaceful neighbourhood but walking distance (across the street) from a big shopping mall and the MRT.
