Dandy Hotel Tianjin

This was my first stay at Dandy Hotel Tianjin, and it ended up being one of the nicest parts of my Taipei trip. What I appreciated most was how easy the hotel made everything feel. The location is excellent Zhongshan MRT is close by, Taipei Main Station is easily reachable, and places like Chifeng Street, cafés, restaurants, convenience stores and shopping are all within easy reach. Whether I was heading out for a full day of sightseeing or simply wandering around the neighbourhood, I never felt far from where I wanted to be. The staff deserve a special mention. Everyone I interacted with was warm, patient and genuinely helpful, whether I needed directions, assistance with luggage, or just a little advice about getting around. Those small interactions made the stay feel much more personal. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and welcoming. After long days exploring Taipei, it was always nice to come back to a place that felt quiet, familiar and easy. I was travelling solo and felt completely comfortable throughout my stay, but I could just as easily recommend Dandy Hotel Tianjin to couples and families. The combination of location, friendly service and convenience makes it a very easy hotel to recommend. Taipei was already a memorable trip for me, and Dandy Hotel played a small but meaningful part in that. Would happily stay here again. A warm thumbs up.

Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and extraordinarily kind—special shoutouts to Ting, Hui, April, Kim, and Alex! Their communication is proactive and clear from the moment you book; they reached out via message prior to check-in to confirm details and offer transport arrangements. They work incredibly hard and make this hotel feel special. ​The Room & Noise ​I booked the standard single (the smallest and most budget-friendly option). While compact and efficient—as is typical for architecture in Taipei—it was simple, spotless, and plenty spacious for one person. ​Housekeeping: Fantastic attention to detail, and they gladly schedule cleanings around when you plan to be out. ​Noise level: Contrary to some reviews mentioning thin walls, my room was completely quiet after 10 PM (quieter than my US apartment!). The in-room fan provides great ambient white noise, and even the mini-fridge runs silently. ​Comfort: Strong air conditioning, excellent humidity control, blackout curtains, and high-pressure hot showers with great bidets. ​Dining & Extras ​Breakfast: Included in the room rate and genuinely delicious—a balanced mix of Taiwanese local dishes and Western staples with daily variety. ​Amenities: Free guest laundry, all-day tea/snacks, and free bottled water stocked in the rooms and offered at the desk. ​Location & Neighborhood ​Incredible location with easy access to the metro station, shopping, local restaurants, and tour/transport services. The neighborhood is safe, clean, and vibrant. (Note: It is an urban area, so seeing people enjoying drinks outdoors at night is normal urban nightlife, not a safety concern). ​Realistic Tips for Taipei Travelers ​Taiwan's Climate & Environment: Taipei is a humid, tropical environment prone to minor earthquakes. Minor wall hairline cracks or humidity spots are completely natural to the climate, not signs of neglect. The hotel actively conducts preventive pest control and takes sanitation very seriously. ​Mosquitoes & Summer Heat: Pick up bug spray at the nearby pharmacy if you’re heading near parks or foliage at night, carry a sun umbrella, and stay hydrated! ​Wi-Fi: Can slow down slightly during peak evening hours, but overall minor. ​Final Verdict ​Every visit to Taipei restores my hope in humanity, and Dandy Hotel exemplifies the superior warmth and culture of this city. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such wonderful care of me during my two-week stay—I’ll definitely be back!

The location was good and I was able to spend a very clean and comfortable time in the building. In addition, Kim at the front desk was kind enough to give me a lot of information. It was a really good memory because of Kim.
