City Suites - Gateway Hotel

Returning from a hot spring trip in Taichung. We stayed here because the flight was early. From Taoyuan Airport, the flight was NT$180, and the return was NT$200. Cash payment. Some of the staff seemed to speak Japanese, but they were able to handle it in minimum English. The room I booked a Deluxe Double Room. The only amenities are soap, shampoo and body soap, and towels are provided once each of the three types: bath, bath mat and face. It was a minimum. The room looked clean, but anyway, the lights were dim, so I couldn't see it well. The bed size is deluxe, but everything else is minimal. "There was no particular hospitality, and there was a lot of feeling that ""because it's so close to the airport, you don't have to do anything because you can operate with just that guest."" We also had dinner. It was a style buffet, but it had a minimum of Western and Chinese food. The price was low, so I thought that must be the case. There were no memorable dishes, and the majority of the dishes prepared in front of my eyes seemed to be frozen foods, and the cooking staff didn't like them. I left early, so I had a box for breakfast. Bread and sweet potatoes, almond tarts, which are thought to be reused. Pack drinks. Boiled eggs. The menu that had been lined up for dinner the day before came out exactly as it was. I felt that I could at least use a sandwich or something with my hands on it. Ordinary evaluation because I was able to spend normal time without any trouble or unpleasant feelings. Next time, I'll try a different hotel.

arrived quite late after long trans continental flight, we were tired or we would have taken the very efficient 2 stops away from airport MRT to Daoyuan station, with a short walk from station to City Suites Gateway Hotel - instead we took a yellow taxi for a very reasonable under $180 NTD fare, reco NOT to Uber as the Uber fare is 6X more than the yellow taxis. The hotel is a bit dated lobby but the beds were very comfortable with blackout blinds and decent thread count sheets - the shower was at excellent pressure and a rain shower, the bathroom ceiling is super low so be careful as you will hit your head while showering, rooms are super clean and tidy and compliments to the breakfast available from 630AM-10AM daily - the variety of eastern choices was a welcome surprise, it was very nice. They provided 2 water bottles and there is a water filling station on each floor, excellent stay, will return.

It is very convenient to stay at Taoyuan Airport such as Tongjit and early morning flights. If you are leaving early in the morning, they will prepare a breakfast set like a lunchbox. Of course, taxis are arranged in 15-minute increments. We had hoped for 4:00 but decided to 4:15 because the slots were full. Nevertheless, I checked out at exactly 4:00 and was able to catch a number of taxis coming right in front of the hotel, so in the end it was 4:00 as I had hoped. The taxi fare is fixed at NTD 200 and is payable in cash to the driver. It was a windowless room, but it didn't bother me much because it was leaving in the dark. The prices of car rentals in your search results of Westchester are very reasonable as they are slightly higher than those at luxury hotels in the airport.
