This is my second time to stay at Maruay Garden Hotel. Certainly, all the staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful with smile, especially I appreciated Guest Relationship Officer Miss Wannapa for her thoughtful idea about my room arrangement, and the restaurant manager Mr. Nat was very helpful for my breakfasts. The breakfast is good and decent with western and eastern food. The room I stay in, although it is quite traditional, is clean, spacious, and tidy, and the aircon is quiet, not noisy. The wifi in the room is speedy. As far as I know many rooms have been updated to trendy style already. Also, the pool is clean, large and comfortable. Maruay Garden Hotel situated at a comfortable and not crowded neighbourhood. It takes 5 minutes' walk to BTS station Kasetsart University. 1 minute walk from the hotel to 7-Eleven store. There are night market and outdoor food court at BTS Ratchayothin station (2 station from Kasetsart University station). There are 2 big shopping malls (Union Mall and Central Ladprao at BTS station Ha Yaek Lat Phrao (4 station from Kasetsart University), and by BTS, it takes 5 stations to Chatuchak Weekend Market (Mo Chit station) from Kasetsart University. If your flight lands at Don Mueang airport, it's very convenient to take Redline airport train to Lak Si Station and transfer BTS green line to Maruay Garden Hotel. I will come back to stay at Maruay Garden Hotel again.

We stayed for a domestic flight from Don Muang Airport. Don Mueang Airport is about 10 minutes by taxi. There is a short distance from Kasetsart University station, which is the nearest BTS station, about 500m away. The hotel felt like an old luxury hotel with no new facilities, but the lobby felt renovated. I stayed in a superior twin, which was spacious and had no problems except for a fixed shower. It seemed to be a place to stay for a group tour in China due to the large number of rooms, but there was no real harm as they arrived late at night and left early the next morning. There are local restaurants and 7-Elevens around the hotel, which is convenient. It is far from the center of Bangkok, but the price is about 1000 Baht, so if you want to use Don Muang Airport, I think you can.

Six of our party went down with food poisoning at this hotel, so take some Immodium if you stay here! Some were violently sick…I had no meals for three days. The lecture room was long and narrow, not conducive to discussions at our workshop. Water control in basin and shower also rather erratic.
