Eurasia Bangkok Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel, with well-appointed rooms and suites, a pool, and a restaurant. The drawback is that it's not really walking distance to the old town, so if the old town is your main destination (it was mine), you will need transportation every day. The hotel does offer a free shuttle three times a day, and that is a plus, but you must still fit your visits to the limited shuttle schedule, or get your own ride. That said, the pool at dusk was lovely; the perfect temperature, and a great spot from which to view the bats swooping over the verdant landscaping.Another plus: the train station is a short ride away.
