Ratchada City Hotel

I only choose to stay at this place because it’s convenient for me to get to China town and the night street market. There are some big shopping malls nearby, namely central world and a few others. It’s right beside a busy narrow street and calling a taxi can be difficult. Location - it’s located in ratchada huai Kwang district. There are lots of massage places and a good number of Chinese restaurants and Thai street food. There’s a 7 11 store right outside and as I’ve said, it’s very convenient to find a place to eat or go get a Thai massage. There’s a night market nearby that sells everything from food (raw meat, Thai deserts, fruits and drinks) to clothes and other materials (shoes, souvenirs, etc.) Rooms - the rooms have a bit of a sweaty carpet smell (probably from the old rusty carpets). You’ll get used to it, however, and you won’t be staying in it during the day anyways. The bathroom was okay although the bathtubs could have a little bit of cleaning. The a/c was old and made some noises initially. Price - I think the rooms are not worth the price. You can get better hotel rooms with the price they offer. 1200 to 1300 bahts a night. Facility - there’s a swimming pool and it’s well maintained. Breakfast was okay. There was nothing special but at least you get something to eat.

This hotel it's good just to be in the center of Ratchada, near bts and nothing else, the hotel it's very old style and price for 1500bath it's ok for the area , it's full of Chinese tours so expect some noise at certain time...

The hotel was depressing and run down, and not really near anything. When we arrived for check-in the staff were very friendly, however it pretty much went down hill from there. The elevator sensor didn't work properly, and the door actually closed into my partner. The room was depressing and not clean, with a cotton bud on the floor and also the bathroom showered was rusted. The plus side was that in the morning the breakfast was huge with a lot of variety... although the hot food was more warm leaning to cold.
