Queen Lotus Guesthouse

Sad to say this is still shut since May last year for refurbishment I used to enjoy going in for lunch or dinner good value Thai food. Hope it does reopen soon but does not seem to be any activity so not sure what's happening So travelers please note this is not available at this time for restaurant or accommodation . .

My review of this hotel is now irrelevant as it was sold less than 2 months ago and it shut down for business a month ago, as the new owners are planning to refurbish it. I cannot imagine it to be open for business again for at least another 6 months or more. When it does re-open, it is unlikely to be a suitable place for people with a young family or couples looking for a quiet hotel, as a couple of new bars have opened across the road and will be pumping out loud music to a very late hour. I personally feel that some people are trying to turn this quiet little side-Soi into an alternative to Soi Cowboy: I hope I am wrong as this was a little Oasis (quiteness wise) away from the chaos of nearby places.

This is a good value, small 5 story hotel, with 1 elevator. Breakfast, coffee & juice are included with the room & an A,B, or C menu type of choices. The fried rice option C is best! Pour a little fish sauce with chilies on top of the fried rice for more flavor. They only speak & understand a limited amount of English but this place is clean, conveniently located, no frills & budget priced. The only drawback is that a bar opened directly across the skinny lane & lobby front door. We had a room above the lobby and it was noisy all night until the bar closed. Ask for a room that is not over the lobby, because of the bar across the hotel! The rooms are good sized & have simple furnishings, if you want plush this is not the place for you.
