We arrived early and, as our room was available, the owner kindly let us check in, without charging a big extra fee! Which was AMAZING. Super chilled out vibe, simple and tasty breakfast and lovely staff. The location is great. Brilliant value for money. Will stay here again when we're next in Bangkok! I wanted this specific area of Bangkok and it looked cheap for a double en suite compared to other places in the area according to booking.com. The hotel is very close to a skytrain station so its easy to explore the (new) city and it is close to some more hip bars and galleries. The cafe next door is great! The room was small and very noisy as it is on the main road with the skytrain. Ear plugs are a must! Breakfast felt a bit stingy as I was asked to pay for any extras (it came with coffee or tea, not with a cafe latte). And staff was not the most welcoming. You can get much better places for the same money if you shop around Khaosan Rd, particularly Soi Ram Butri, which is great for the old city, but then you are limited on accessibility...
