Queens Garden Resort at River View

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past and was pleasantly suprised to note that it now has a new owner and location. It is perfect for early morning flights etc. Pat the owner has done wonders with this place since I last stayed at the Queens Resort, the room I stayed in was HUGE( perfect for large groups) and spotless. As I was leaving before breakfast time(7am) he was kind enough to make me a mug of tea to get me going in the morning, also I arrived very late the night before and was starving but the restaurant was closed but never mind---5 minutes after checking in he knocked on the door with a plate of fruit and packets of crisps--how thoughtful & kind of him to do so. A perfect place for transit flights. His personal staff are fabulous BUT take NO note of the 'old bag' at the airport who is the tour operator whose only words are'stand over there & wait' ! She has NOTHING to do with Pat's personal staff.

This hotel has two premises. Everything is clean and service is ok. Price quality is ok as well. If you arrive at Bangkok and have a connecting flight in the night or early morning, this hotel is a good option. The family liked it especially feeding the fish at the river. Good for lower budget travelers and traveller who don't want to spend too much for just a few hours of sleep for a connecting flight.

The accomodation was great with wifi, nice AC and big beds, and the place is very close to the airport in case you have an early flight. They have a shuttle bus that will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. The staff is very friendly, they helped me sort out a banking issue and let me make a couple international calls without charge to do so! Would recommend
