Siamese Views Lodge

This charming B&B is located very close to Khao San Road where all the Songkran action happens, but far enough that we've managed to get there without getting completely soaked. Other than this particular event, Khao San Road has also many other attractions which makes the Siamese Views Lodge a good choice if you're considering location. Rooms are really simple but spacious and clean. The breakfast was really good but the true gem was the staff: very very friendly!

Pros: - good location, very close to khao san road and a 20 min walk to some of the major temples - pleasant staff - shared building spaces (halls, lobby) have some nice character - relatively cheap, though still not worth the money imo Cons: - hard bed - hot water in shower was temperamental - room amenities are basic (one-room shower/toilet gets messy, no lock box, minimal bathroom supplies, no tissues) - housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired (bathroom wasn't cleaned, toilet paper roll was half-used when we checked in) - really awful breakfast (no local food, bad coffee, 'tang' served as orange juice, extremely poor versions of western breakfasts, unable to offer a bagged breakfast of any kind for our early checkout)

Receptionists are very-very nice, speak excellent English, helpful, great staff. Nice and clean little place very close to the city center (literally 5 minutes walk). Few negative things like no elevator or breakfast is very tasty but you have to decide the day before what you want and you only get that, but no real bad things really. Our bed was terrible though (room 307), it was unconfortable and very noisy.
