DO NOT BOOK THE BASIC ROOM!! I don’t usually complain, I just want to help someone who is thinking of booking this place for themselves! Had to wait 3 and a half hours to check in on 2 hours sleep because rooms were ‘full’ only to come back and find a massive family being checked into their rooms. Room was small and wasn’t clean, muddy footprints on the floor, fowl smelling fridge, foot prints on wall next to the bed???? desperately needs re-painting, really grubby, 3 strips of frosted windows but no curtains or blind so as soon as its daylight the light comes pouring in waking you up or stopping you from being able to sleep at all had the worst nights sleep, duvet seems like a single put into a double duvet cover as anytime my boyfriend turned over I was left bare. was placed in a room right next to a big massive generator that makes a loud mechanical sound every 30 seconds I thought someone was drilling at 2am this morning but turns out it was that. We hated it so much we dreaded going back to it when we had been out and about and so today decided we would rather lose our money and pay for somewhere else than have another sleepless, uncomfortable, grubby nights stay at this place. I can’t speak for all the rooms in the hotel but the room they gave to us was definitely not up to ANY sort of standard, we felt insulted that somebody would even shove us in there and smile about it. Never ever ever ever ever again.
