Arcade Inn

thank god we only stayed for one night. by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. i would not let my dog stay there. the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. that was before we started to itch. we were so freaked out we needed a beer to enable us to wind down a little. i had to come out of the bed and use the towel to cover myself. gross. the hotel had a general mucky smell to it and at one point made me feel extremely sick. also smoking in the rooms and hallways was permitted. we didnt find this pleasant. we would never return. even writing this is making me itch!!!

We'd booked for 5 nights but stayed only one- the rooms were dirty and the walls were badly marked/stained. The towels provided were ragged and stained,and they smelled like they hadn't even been washed- you'd want to shower again if you used them. The staff were indifferent- the bell boy sat outside when we arrived and made no effort to help until we were going up to the rooms (when he wanted his tip). Other reviewers seem more tolerant of this and think the hotel is good value- baht for baht, maybe it's a fair price. But then I'd read these before we booked and we were still disappointed
