Our week at Baan Boo Loo Village in Chiang Mai was, quite simply, the most extraordinary lodging experience of our many decades of travel. Nowhere else have we felt such warmth, authenticity, and joy. What truly sets Baan Boo Loo apart is its deeply personal hospitality. The owners and staff don’t just welcome you—they embrace you like family. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care make you feel both honored and at home. The property itself is a living work of art. Rooted in traditional Lanna architecture, it incorporates an original 200-year-old Thai house and other buildings crafted from reclaimed wood, each decorated with cultural treasures that evoke the spirit of old Siam. Surrounding it all is a lush, tranquil garden—an oasis of calm in the heart of Chiang Mai’s Old City. Though you are just steps away from temples, markets, and lively restaurants, the atmosphere within the village feels secluded, timeless, and profoundly peaceful. The cultural immersion is equally memorable: lovingly prepared breakfasts, home-cooked dinners, and the rhythms of traditional Thai village life. Every detail—from the way meals are cooked to the staff’s traditional attire—reflects a sincere respect for heritage. Baan Boo Loo is far more than a place to stay; it’s a place to belong. It redefines what hospitality means, leaving you not only deeply satisfied but genuinely happy.

In the center of Chiang Mai an oasis of peace surrounded by greenery with tree house... the three brothers are very kind and welcoming and the breakfast is very well cared for and is made between the songs of the birds

Staying at BaanBooLoo was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. The beautifully appointed Thai style villas had all of the comforts. but in a unique authentic setting. This was only surpassed by the the family and staff, including Aunya and Adisak who looked after every detail including wonderful excursions to see the elephants and the Thai Silk factory. We booked the chef's dinner for our party of 7, and it was a gourmet, michelin star experience. Wonderful food, excellent service, and very personalized touches for the whole evening - just for our group. This was the best meal we had in Thailand!! Will definitely stay here again if ever returning to Chiang Mai..... Thank you!!
