Hotel Ping Silhouette

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is still operating. I’ve stayed here several times before, but this visit was a complete disaster. The hotel has seriously deteriorated. Everything feels old, neglected, and poorly maintained. The service is nowhere near the standard it used to be. The room was filthy. It smelled damp, there was dust everywhere, gecko droppings on the floor, and the sheets and blankets smelled as if they hadn’t been washed properly. Reading other guests’ reviews afterward, I realized I wasn’t the only one who experienced this. The swimming pool was green and looked unhygienic. Breakfast was extremely disappointing and felt cheap and poorly prepared. The biggest concern was parking. Guests were told to leave their cars on the roadside, which felt unsafe and completely unacceptable for a hotel. I couldn’t stop thinking about what would happen if my car was damaged or ticketed. The photos online make the property look far better than reality. What you see in the advertisements is definitely not what you get. This was a complete waste of money and one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone. Spend a little more and book somewhere that actually values cleanliness, safety, and its guests.

This stay was from May 29th to June 1st, 2026 (4 days, 3 nights). This was my third time staying at this hotel. I personally quite like it because it's a small boutique hotel with limited rooms, located by the Ping River, and conveniently situated for getting around. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, with a rooftop swimming pool accessible from the superior rooms (which is the room type I stayed in this time). This allows me to easily walk to the pool, sunbathe, and read the books I brought. However, this time I was very disappointed with the swimming pool. The female front desk staff informed me that the rain had changed the water color and they needed to monitor the situation. They apologized, but I went up to see for myself and believed it was unusable. It seemed like the pool system had been malfunctioning for several days, resulting in green, murky water with a lot of algae growth. Furthermore, a loose electrical panel was hanging down from the walkway to the pool (looked dangerous), and some of the furnishings were showing signs of age and damage. Regarding my room (superior, room number 15), it needs some touch-up work, including repainting the furniture, walls, curtains, and fixing the faulty lighting. The air conditioner also needs cleaning as it was dusty and made the air in the room stuffy. If these issues were addressed, the room would look new, clean, and inviting. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with this stay. Personally, I like this place and would like to suggest that the hotel consider improving the exterior of the building, including the equipment and items in the public areas, as well as the interior of the rooms. I believe that if these improvements are made, it will be beautiful again and attract many more customers.

Staying here for 9 nights and very happy with the hotel. Helpful staff, great room and breakfast is good. Lovely garden that goes down to the river and nice swimming pool. A little walk from the main town but worth the walk as it’s a more peaceful location.
