Thaphae Garden Guest House

I stayed here for 5 nights and had a very average stay. The hostel was basic, but clean and comfortable. It was quiet so I slept well each night. The main problem with this hostel is the staff. They are rude and lack customer service. They have no enthusiasm and do not attempt to build any ‘party’ atmosphere. This was especially apparent during the bar crawl where they only cared about trying to sell tickets. I did make friends here, but almost every guest had a similar opinion about the staff.

The awesome manager (kammei) and lovely little girl (pika) smile all the time and the staff made my holiday perfect💯✨ Love you Bodega. Cheap food cheap drinks I love happy hour very strong buckets hahaha nice to meet new friends.

I stayed at Bodega for 4 nights and I’m very pleased with my stay. Very fresh rooms and premises in general. Quite okay prices in the restaurant, both alcohol and food. Night Bazaar is nearby where they have many opportunities for cheap food and also close to the main street with bars and shopping. Comfortable and big beds. My impression was that the hostel was relatively quiet and not as ”lively” as we thought it would be for a party hostel. But still social for solo travellers. The staff were super nice and helpful 24/7. There were safety lockers in the rooms, which felt good as I don’t like having it outside in corridors. We did a one day trip to Elephant Sanctuary, one to the National Park and to Chiang Rai. All with pick up time 8.00 am. And the restaurant opened at 8.00 am. No breakfast places open nearby. So the only thing I would wish for is for the resturant being open earlier especially when the hostel offer these type of activities. I would definitely come back especially for the price paid. / Felicia, Sweden
