The Red Hibiscus Guesthouse

Stayed in Chiang Mai for three nights in this charming guesthouse, situated in a quiet alley within the historic old town - only short distances to famous sights like major temples, cafes and restaurants. This family run B&B was a hidden gem and a god send: fusing professional hospitality with Thai family warmth; clean well-appointed rooms with homey breakfast to delicious dinner, beautiful lobby decor and attentive care throughout the stay from Khun Daeng, Peter and Carina - the hosts that made my brief holiday in Chiang Mai so complete over the new year. Cannot praise it anymore highly - and can't wait to revisit!

Manager Kay made our stay very special. She was a great host and arranged cooking school excursion and a trip to Chiang Rai for us. She was extremely helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good location and very quiet also price is very reasonable. Bed was very comfy and we would stay here again mainly because of Kay. She’s great.

While it was relatively clean, I didn't realize when I booked it that it was just a guesthouse which mean they don't change your sheets or towels. I ran out of toilet paper which they didn't replace. They also let my friend in my room without asking me, and requested that I pay in cash. The area was quiet and my stay was pleasant overall. The room was quaint and the bed was huge. The staff was also quite friendly.
