When originally booked the Hotel was named "Centra Life", when I arrived in Pattaya it had changed its name to "Shilat Avenue Hotel" Pattaya. Very confusing for the Taxi driver. Checking in was easy and straight forward. The rooms are well appointed, clean and maintained by the friendly staff. Unusually for Thailand there is a Synagogue on the second floor. There is also a Kosher Restaurant. I found this to have limited menu choice and quite expensive compared to the Restaurants and cafes at the beginning of the avenue. You'll find many menus and Thai Fayre there. So bare that in mind. The Shilat is a pleaseant stay, and very popular with the Israelis. I spoke to quite a few. Lots of decor to remind them of home. It's probably a hub considering the Synagogue and Kosher Menu. (which was not mentioned on the Centra Life site) If thats your thing, then this is definitely the hotel for you.

The hotel is located in the centre of Pattaya, which is a plus, but the approach to the hotel is not comfortable. The only way out is through the trash 🤨 Room we took with balcony, in principle the rooms are not bad, cleaned every day, towels were also changed daily, bed linen was changed once in 7 days, which is not bad. From the cons of the room the door to the balcony was difficult to open, the hygienic shower was leaking. The hygienic shower I turn off, but the cleaner left it open every day and because of the pressure it leaked, it's going to lead to a flood someday... come on. Cons of the hotel: breakfast ! Three breakfasts to choose from - eggs and salads, all 🤪 and the top! What's in the synagogue dining room. I am a tolerant person and treat everyone equally, but why is everyone in one place?! Couldn't we have made a synagogue somewhere else, on another floor? Why can't I sit where I want in the dining room?! Which I also didn't understand. The swimming pool and sauna are tired of working, considering that I don't think anyone goes there 😂 the sauna doesn't warm above 30 degrees, considering that it's +32 degrees outside, then why even need it?! I don't understand. In general the cons are more, 4 stars of course it is exaggerated, the tour operator did not warn that this hotel is cashier, which was very disappointing, as the buffet was waiting. I'm not going back to this hotel anyway. Don't fall for beautiful photos 😎

Had issues being locked out of room multiple times due to a faulty Card and this was very frustrating… being locked out 5 times was unacceptable and it appears it was all due to a faulty Door Card .. this should have been replaced after the 2nd time if not the 1st . Spa Bath was not operating and Pool Decking needs to be repaired
