The management team have done a very good job at Sea Lodge, which has been rebranded as Let's Hyde. They have kept much of what was original and appealing, whilst making some good improvements. A lot of effort has been made at the bar, particularly with the menu boards. Drink prices are reasonable. Unfortunately they now only have 2 very good staff, Mac and Nual, who have both worked there a very long time and are liked by the customers. The other bar staff are really lazy and are destroying all the work and effort made by others. One very overweight female staff member is particularly lazy, and is far more concerned with EATING while on duty than serving the paying customers. There are also 2 older Thai male staff who are always standing at the bar talking with each other in a very sleazy way about the customers AND about the Manager. I speak and understand Thai because I am a language teacher..These 2 men seem to think that customers are fooled just because they give false smiles and attempt to say Good Morning. When the Manager appears they suddenly pretend to be busy, fiddling with serviettes, cutlery etc. Also, from what I've seen, the very large overweight female staff member is not being correct when making out the bills, in that for example if a customer has 4 drinks she will charge the customer for the 4 drinks but will only write out a bill for 3 drinks, and then pocket the difference. She never shows the customer the bill! Unless I'm very much mistaken, that would mean she is defrauding her employers.. So for me, despite all the improvements made by the management team, most of the staff are ruining everything by being lazy, too busy talking in LOUD voices with each other and forgetting that they are there to SERVE THE PAYING CUSTOMERS. Only Mac and Nual are working hard, and if they leave I would never go there again.

I stayed at Sea Lodge Hotel for nine days. It is a quiet place with a super pool. The bungalows were nice and clean, they were cleaned every day. The hosts were nice and helpful. Staff were service minded. The food was of uneven quality, but now they are searching for a new chef, so that will hopefully get better. The location is a bit out of the downtown area, but the bath buses take you to the city center. I believe the resort is getting be top when all the bungalows are refurbished. . I will highly recommend Sea Lodge Hotel if you are looking for a nice and quiet place.
