View Talay Villas Pattaya

We stayed there in 2018 and were happy to book the same villa for another two week period in April this year. My review was very complimentary regarding our first occupation, but standards have dipped, the indicated improvements were not completed, and the villa is in need of some TLC. There are broken tiles and sharp edges in the swimming pool, the lounge furniture is worn and torn, the pool area would benefit from some general gardening, and the slate covering the front doorstep was completely detached and a hazard. We had electrical, pool and drainage issues during our first few days, but they were very quickly resolved by a call to Rob the property manager. The rental is competitive in the area, paid prior to occupancy, with an additional deposit towards the cost of water and electricity. Water is 50 Baht a day, and electricity is charged at 7 Baht per unit. Prolonged use of air con should be avoided, and rooms also have ceiling fans. The complex is excellent, situated literally yards away from two 7eleven shops, several ATMs, a Currency Exchange, a food market and Rompho Beer Bars. It is only a 10 minute walk to Jomtien Beech which is quiet in comparison to Pattaya Beech.

View Talay Villas is a compound with many villas, ranging from 1 to 4-5 bedrooms, almost all of them with heir own pool. It's very green, well tended and quiet. Quite close to the beach and the Jomtine night life, it has its own beautiful swimming pool with a good bar. Suggested for familes and people who loves peace and quiet . The only place is the neighborhood where you feel protected and relaxed.

Just been here on and off for 18 days in total and as I saw on previous reviews, Frank, the resort Manager is an excellent host. Villas are great, well cared for, very private. Positives many! Negatives . scratching around for some, maybe the on site bar/restaurant needs wifi. They have it, but the terribly shy little Thai girl is unable to say 'We have wifi, but you need to buy a voucher, even though you are paying 4000 baht per night to stay here'. A voucher from the management would be better. I had an issue whereby the local electric was cut off, not ideal, but well dealt with by Frank. I highly recommend it here, perfect home from home, good shops and cheap food nearby. Thank you Frank.
