Baan Havaree

We had a really huge old fashioned room on the first floor with a.balcony overlooking the road which was really noisy. Ask for a room at the back Lot of dust under the bed and lots of small ants. Nothing much around there just a seven eleven and a couple of stalls. About half way between Krabi Town and the beach. You can jump on the little vans for £1 to take you either way. Staff very helpful. In the reception they have loads of I think wedding dresses. Was a bit like s museum. The on,y reason I wouldn’t stay there again is the location.

No it's not in walking distance to anything but they do put on a free tuk tuk a few times a day or it's only 50baht each in a tuk tuk to ao nang centre where all the bars and restaurants are, there's also a 7/11 store next door if you desperately need anything. Plus it's much better value for money than anything in ao nang centre, if you want something this nice in the centre expect to pay a lot! In a nutshell the rooms are clean and big, great wifi access from the rooms, fridge, aircon and NO BUGS! Would stay again!

Found this hotel late in the evening on a booking site after trying to find a hotel for the night in Ao Nang. Booked it and jumped into a tuktuk, as the driver drove further and further away from the busy streets of An Nang my girlfriend and I were really starting to wonder if we'd made the right decision. Once we got to the reception and met Nusara, which was probably the sweetest person we met during our three weeks in Thailand (and that's saying a lot) our fears vanished. We decided to extend our booking to four nights right away and also rent a motor bike from the hotel to get to the central part of Ao Nang easier. Make no mistake, this hotel is not on walking distance from anything really. The rooms were clean and ours was fitted with AC and safety box. A balcony without a view which we only used to dry our beach towels. There was a mosque pretty close to the hotel which could probably wake some people up. Around the corner there was a 7-11 and across the street some type of restaurant. After only two nights of our stay we decided that Ao Nang was probably one of the worst places in Thailand and wanted to check out early. Thankfully this wasn't a problem and we only had to pay for the two nights we'd stayed. The wonderful Nusara could almost push this hotel up to a four star rating but trying to keep things objective it probably wasn't worth more than three. That said, we were happy with it for the two nights we spent there but would probably try something else next time.
