Lanta Thanya Beach Resort

A beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and so well maintained, we saw staff tending the gardens and beach every day. The beach was beautiful with amazing clear sea and surrounding by cliffs. Unfortunately during our stay a large swarm of jellyfish descended on the coast meaning we couldn’t swim in the sea without continuous painful stings. Apparently this was unusual and very early in the year for them, and we enjoyed the beautiful pool instead. The food and drink at the resort was lovely and reasonably priced. The room was lovely and so comfortable, and the products we had the room where amazing lemongrass and mint and really smells so lovely. Once hint however would be don’t wash your hands using it and then pop your contact lenses in haha. There where beautiful walks through the jungle to the pier and to the paradise beach. Walking along a bit at night we found a lovely cocktail bar to just sit and watch the stars. Our stay here was so relaxing and I would definitely recommend it.

Staying at an adjacent resort, we visited on two occasions and were delighted. The bar location is ideal for sunsets and star gazing. Selection in the restaurant is varied. International and Asian selections to suit most palates. Tempura prawns as good as any. Service was friendly and prompt. Recommended!

Stayed in december 2011. A nice and friendly resort. Still the Koh Ngai, compared to Koh Lipe got a lack of really good restaurants and the atomosephere is more laid back at Lipe. Will probably not return to this island even if Thanya was really good!
