Ascot Krabi

Stayed for 4 nights with my family, when you enter the lobby you will see signs showing the hotel's high rating on TripAdvisor and booking.com and other websites. Air Cond not cool. TV reception not clear. No ironing facilities. No prayer mat for Muslims, Staff is very arrogant, you ask any help they just try to linger on, I think this hotel is overrated. Very tired and run-down. Next to a noisy construction site. The bathrooms were not clean. The only good thing which I found is the rooms are spacious.

Our room at Ascot was large with a comfortable double bed, private bathroom, fridge with free bottle water, a TV and a safe. Our balcony overlooked the main road and the only issue we had was that the balcony doors didn't close properly meaning that sometimes it could be a bit loud if the traffic was busy outside. Ascot is located a 10 minute walk to the beach and is surrounded by excellent restaurants, lots of supermarkets, shops and travel stalls. The staff were all really friendly and helpful during our stay. There was free coffee available in reception and the WiFi worked great all through our stay.

Booked 3 rooms for 2 nights stay. 1 room facing the main road is bigger than the other 2 rooms facing the hills. AC works best. Nice and helpful staff. One of them can speak good Malay and English. Very attentive to our request. 10 - 15 minutes walk to the beach. Less than 5 minutes walk to the mosque. Lots of tasty and cheap halal food. Lots of convenience store. Overall, it's a very good stay and you get what you paid for. Recommended.
