When we decided to stay here 27DEC2013; on Tonsai Bay, it was because we wanted to have a Thailand "hut" experience. I was all for it at first, but then I read the reviews and saw the images; and that turned me off. Looking back, this was a life experience I will never forget. Tonsai Bay is a 10 minute walk to Railay Beach (when the tide is low) otherwise you'll have to catch a long tail boat. I will admit that it is very inconvenient when we were in Ao Nang and needed to get to our bungalow in Tonsai Bay (usually in the evenings after 9pm). We either had to pay 1500 baht or what for 6 other people to join us for a better rate. I would recommend this hut on Tonsai Bay if: 1) you are looking for a mellow place to "chill out" 2) you enjoy rock climbing 3) Solo travelers, friends This place is not recommended for: 1) families 2) older adults
