Phi Phi Andaman Legacy Resort

The staff have made me feel so uncomfortable, when I needed to go to the toilet, I showed one of them my booking and he laughed but let me carry on and then when I came out from the toilet there was a female who asked me where am I going, baring in mind I had already showed the male, my reservation, I couldn’t have gotten In or out without him seeing the reservation, then between themselves, they were talking and then they were like “ok you can pass” awful!! Please do not let it violate your human rights! Also they put us in the staff quarters away from the general public, on a side , it’s been a real bad experience, and the beds are really uncomfortable

Let's start with: The hotel / room prices on Koh Phi Phi have meanwhile picked up most strongly, are in our opinion massively excessive, the island itself is hopelessly overburdened, has a garbage problem, is completely overflowing - unfortunately in the majority with mostly totally misbehaving Russians - as well as on Phuket! We have known the island since 1992 (then and until 1999/2000 still a little paradise!!) - but that's the way things are going! Anyone who knows P.P. from pre-tsunami times will be terrified and may regret coming here again.Positive: There are many very good restaurants (Anna`s !!). The Andaman Legacy: We booked our room on the 2nd floor of the main building with a nice view very early and therefore paid a still bearable price. The room is quite spacious, you have everything you need, the AC is quiet and efficient, the bed / mattresses i.O.The muezzin in the nearby mosque was barely audible for us.Much more disturbing were the very noisy rooms and the constant door banging at any time of the day and unfortunately also aftertime.The staff were nice for the most part-especially at breakfast, friendly and in a good mood! (The younger lady at the reception could get a smile from time to time though!).The breakfast itself was rather below average, the view at breakfast on P.P. Ley terrific! The room was cleaned daily-unfortunately the maids "gassed" again and again the in the room price incl. drinking water and the instant coffee to refill and had to be pointed out again and again.The balcony was apparently never entered or cleaned by the staff during our 10 day stay,the bird droppings on railings and seating furniture is probably only removed by rain,the ashtray was never emptied by the staff.The pool was visually clean per se,the water very warm - clear,all day in the sun.What bothered us a lot here: 95% of the guests using the pool has not showered before swimming,everyone carries their sweat,sun oil,physical excretions in,there is no staff who pays attention to it.We therefore used the pool only 2X during our stay.But within walking distance to Long Beach nice smaller beaches. Conclusion.We will certainly only keep our time on Koh Phi Phi and Phuket - should we ever travel Thailand again in the foreseeable future - very short to visit friends living here. During our 9-week stay in 2026 we were on some other islands and places where the world is still half-alright (without grumbling, rumbling, irreverent and cultureless Russians!)

Average place. Construction is still on going, when asked about how they had stayed the building work would end in October 2024 hence why I booked, they replied it shouldn’t be too much of an inconvenience. The construction work was loud and irritating when trying to lounge around the pool. The pictures of the rooms are not reflective of what we got. I booked a superior room and it was far from it. We had to ask to move rooms as the safe and bathroom door would not close. When we did move the sink in the new room kept blocking and the water in the shower ran cold on several occasions. The staff request you leave your room key at reception everytime you leave. Pool was nice and plenty of loungers. There were times broken in the entrance to the building and they had towels over them.
