Koh Jum Beach Villas

À beautiful, quiet place. We had a villa that consistented of 3 separate villa’s. It was huge! 1 living room villa and 2 bedroom villas. But when you spent so much money on accommodation, you want your own private bedroom and not share it with a kid. At least, we don’t want to… The villas were huge. My tip would be to make another bedroom in one of the villas so that the children can all sleep together and the parents have their own villa. Ow, here they had cats everywhere. First night, 1 cat get in the villa and jumped right on a sleeping kid that scared the hell out of him. Woke us up, because there was ‘something’ in the villa. Had to catch a cat in the middle of the night. Than, finally fell into sleep. Miawwwww miawwww… an other cat on the porch complaingen for a hour about his life or weather conditions or what ever it was on his mind. Couldn’t appreciate it. Thankfully, this happened only once, but still 1 time to many. The massage in the hotel is nice. Overpriced Ofcourse, but good. The lady had very rough hands which I weirdly enjoyed. Had dinner once and that was nice as well. Breakfast is by menu. I rather have a buffet, but because of the amount of guests, they have a menu. I had a salad. That was nice. The children loved their french toast. My husband liked it as well. It was huge by the way. Children couldn’t finish and some days, my husband couldn’t as well. Fresh water every day. That is nice, because there aren’t many shops. This way we didn’t have to carry water. It’s a little over 1 km to the nearest shop. They have bikes too by the way that you can use for free. I did once to get some cash at the atm. Location is right on the beach. 2 types of towels. White for inside, blue for outside, but not for the beach! What do we use on the beach then? Hmm…. Also... There were cockroaches in the villa. Told housekeeping and they would clean it. We even took 2 cockroaches with us in our luggage to our next location😳😳😳 they were alive and very much looking forward on leaving the trunk they came in. Not so funny. We were only with 12 guests in total. Very luxurious place. But a huge miss with the cockroaches and ‘the gym’. The gym was 1 ball and 2 old machines with a few weights. No running machine which I want… so I had to run in the jungle with huge humidity. Extremely hot. Nog very dangerous, but I got lost and ran 2,5 km extra in that extreme heat. I couldn’t appreciate that much either. But that was my own fault. If they only had a gym where I could run with ac… 😛 Good lesson for us. We now ask at each hotel what kind of machines there are in the gym. A room with some weights is called a gym pretty quickly, we have learned that the hard way. But overall: Koh jun beach villas is a beautiful place that is very luxurious and very very friendly staff. They will do everything to please you. In the future, there will be a big gym apparently (I told Mr. Mark how much I missed the gym at such a luxury villa and he told me they were planning on making a 2 story building with new machines). The cockroaches is a little bit more tricky especially when they decide to travel with you.

First of all, I have to say that Koh Jum is pure magic. It was the first stop of our honeymoon, and after reading so many great reviews, we decided to stay at Koh Jum Beach Villas. Even with high expectations, I can honestly say it was far better than I ever imagined. The villas are simply incredible — right in front of the beach, with stunning views, amazing facilities, and a level of peace and tranquility that is hard to describe. It was the perfect place to completely switch off and relax. I’m not sure if it was because we were visiting at the end of the tourist season, but it felt like we had the beach and the villas almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. The staff were absolutely wonderful — so friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. I can’t remember the name of the girl at reception, but she was amazing and helped us with everything we needed. She was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. I also want to mention Juan, the Brazilian guy who looked after us during breakfast and one of the dinners we had there. He was fantastic — so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Honestly, this has been one of the most relaxing, authentic, and soul-refreshing places I have ever visited in my life. It’s one of those rare places that truly helps you recharge and reconnect with what matters. I would recommend it to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and a special experience — although selfishly, I hope it never becomes overcrowded like so many other places, because right now it truly feels like paradise on earth. A huge thank you to the whole team at Koh Jum Beach Villas. You are all amazing and made our honeymoon unforgettable.

I am writing whilst staying at Koh Jum Beach Villas, being hopeful that I might find a way to stay on for weeks, if not months, as this wonderful resort has exceeded all of my expectations. In addition to its amazingly beautiful setting, healthy and well maintained lush landscape, perfectly cleaned and furnished villas, high quality breakfast and day-long lunch/dinner meals (which truly have tasty and perfectly prepared meal options), we enjoyed the kindness of all staff and the extraordinary service that has been provided to us. With sincerest thanks to Mark and the whole team, including K Fon, K Kwan and all team members in the restaurant and reception, cleaning and gardening staff. The inclusive community spirit is apparently wherever you are in the resort, and the wonderful calming ocean and beachfront have made this an unforgettable and memorable stay.
