Baia Baia Resort

After a very positive test in March (see my comments), what a disappointment in this month of July!! Staff just kind and not at all professional, our dishes arrived when we were a third of the aperitif! We asked that they return to us later and when we asked again (X times) they arrived 20 minutes later. The top of the reheated pasta was downright crunchy, the ham just as much.... We waited for the dessert menu for half an hour, then decided to pay and leave. The atmosphere was gloomy, not a summer atmosphere. Will we go back after the season? Not sure, we will definitely prefer the landmark, which never disappoints us. What a shame!

loud music all night. we booked couple month ago a bungalow to stay new years evening. when we came they say it all booked and have no place for us. al island was booked. then they gave us shiti room . dark and stinky. we talked to the couple and they sayd they pay extra to take our bungalow and apolagaised. next day we moved to the bungalow. bed servise.

Booked 3 nights, checked in, left after 1 hour as I had collected 17 mosquito bites. Enough holes in the hut (or as advertised by booking.com as bungalow)to invite every mosquito on the island to come in. No mosquito net either over the very grey sheets on the bed. The guy that checked us in said he didn't think it was the place for us and tried to get us a refund but booking.com wouldn't allow it. We lost our money through booking.com but there's no way my husband and I could have stayed one night there as it would have totally ruined a holiday if a lifetime. We booked into a hotel near the pier which was perfect. Photos below show 2 of the infected mosquito bites which have needed treatment at a further expense. We had spent 8 days in Patong before coming to Baia baia resort on Phi Phi and I hadn't got any bites, and I didn't collect anymore after leaving and checking into a hotel. It's wooden mosquito infested shacks and not bungalows as described on booking.com
