I booked here as a last minute bargain for myself and a friend visiting phi phi for 3 nights from phuket. Had to aquire a map from a local shop to find bamboo mountain view as the streets were super busy when we docked in, and a good job too because we wouldn't have found this place by guessing. The bungalow we rented could only be described as a cross between my dad's garden shed and the creepy home of a serial killer. It sounds mega harsh, but if you see the other photos on here it's true. At first we laughed and said it would be a fun experience so we stayed. The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, however plenty of drinks down the party strip sorted that conundrum out! There were tonnes of mosquitos and other creepy crawlies around as the bungalows are places amongst the trees and next to the island wastewater facility. I thought I had conquered this by fumigating the room with a few cans of repellant and blocking the holes under the door, however during the second night I found a millipede trying to spoon me, and there went that nights sleep! Then the fun part of the stay was opening the bathroom door each morning armed with a can of spray to mace any unwelcomed visitors that could fit through the many gaps between the walls. Anyway, if you've read this and still decide to stay here, I wish you the very best of luck. Happy travelling!

Full Disclosure: we did not end up staying here for the night. Visited as two couples (from Canada) on February 12th 2016. We booked two rooms for an unknown 3 star hotel through hotwire. When we found out that we had gotten "this hotel" and searched it through trip advisor we decided to head down to Koh Phi Phi anyways and to risk it because there was no way that this was the same place that we had been assigned to us by hotwire as a 3 star. As I read some of the other reviews I must admit that we suffered many of the same things. There was no one to greet us at the pier, and with carrying all of our luggage ourselves it took us approximately an hour of trekking in the sweltering heat and asking around (not to mention that hill) to find this place that no one had heard about. Once we got there we saw the swimming pool, although it may look pretty in the picture, I would like to remind you that this is a pool, not a lake... and that the green slime does NOT belong in it. When we were brought up to our rooms the first room.. ALREADY had someone staying in it!!! They just casually opened the door and we were the ones who remarked to him that it was already occupied. Trying not to be impolite I snapped a very quick picture to demonstrate this to hotwire. The second room they tried to offer us... was left wide open when we got to it. Although this may not seem like a big deal if it were a regular enclosed hotel... these are little huts on ground level on a tropical island with many types of bugs and lizards and animals seeking shelter from the heat. It is absolutely unacceptable to leave the door open for no reason. Although the staff offered two other rooms for us, we had decided that these red flags were enough for us, and although we were absolutely furious with hotwire, exhausted from trekking and absolutely starving, we tried our best to politely decline the rooms and started walking around trying to find a new place to stay... which proved quite difficult considering it was the afternoon during high season. So please, fellow travellers, do not stay here. Spend the extra money and book a nicer place.

We thought we were paying extra money to have a really nice stay in Phi Phi and when we arrived the room that we'be booked online didn't exist and they wanted us to stay in a creepy room 100 steps up. We refused and it took an hour of arguing with the manager (who doesn't speak any English) to change us to another room. He didn't want to give our money back neither book another room for us (as I said we had already made the payment via Expedia). The other room they gave us, it was ok but the hostel it's a bit hard to get than other hostels. It's uphill and no directions to it. At night all the way it's very dark. I suggest you get to the island and bargain for another cheap better hostel somewhere in the center of the island.
