The Sea House Beach Resort Krabi

Dona who owns this hotel was friendly and very helpful throughout our 4 day stay at Kep, arranging a capable driver to take us on a very enjoyable bespoke tuk tuk tour that covered all the major attractions at Kep. You can rely on her trusted recommendations. The food at The Beach House restaurant is really very good. The daily specials do not disappoint. Although I'm not really into drinking, I found myself having a cocktail every night during Happy Hour. Their drinks are all great, as is their limited but tasty breakfast menu. The Burgers and Arancini were outstanding too. kids kept asking that we eat in. As adults we were more adventurous in exploring other dining options. The Sailing Club located beyond The Crab Market has great ambiance but the food was overpriced and not value for money. You're better off eating at Beach House most of the time. Great to dine and nurse cocktails and watch the beach life. Right in front of the hotel is a road that separates a kilometer long white sand beach that's almost free of litter and with clean clear water. Roadside food stalls are aplenty and around the corner many dining options are available. A 15 min walk starting at 5pm would allow you to watch a glorious sunset as you make your way to The Crab Market. If you had enough of the beach, The Kep National Park is located very near the hotel. Lots of butterflies flitting around the hotel. The hotel also has a nice cost swimming pool for times when the beach gets too crowded. Our room didn't face the beach. It had comfortable beds - a king size and two singles was great for our family. Wifi signal was stable and strong almost all the time. We never used the TV at all. My only peeve was a minor one - to use the shower instead of the bath, we had to learn the trick of doing a sustained pull on a knob. Otherwise the shower will just cease when you let go of the knob. All the staff are friendly and speak very decent English. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Beach House. Use it to explore the Fishing Village, Salt Mines, Pepper Farm, Cave temple and Kep Beach

My husband and I were on our last leg of our honeymoon and had booked the Seahouse not knowing much about the Krabi area. Had Yao is out there. So isolated from the Krabi area and very little to do but be at the beach. The beach at the hotel was full of trash (which we found off for Thailand). The pool was run down but refreshing considering the beach was gross. The first night there we just drank and drank and drank, but had to pay for it at the hotel since there were no stores in the area. We went on an excursion the next day and picked people up in Ao Nang and immediately never wanted to go back. When we got back from our excursion we hopped onto WIFI and booked a room for the rest of our time in Ao Nang. It was the best decision we ever made. When we got back to the Sea House (an hours ride or so) they were not surprised we were checking out and then when we asked for ice for the room because we had stopped at the 7-11, they charged us for ice. We also had ants in our room and no hot water. I basically describe this place like a glam (using the word lightly) camp feeling. Do yourself a favor, do not stay there. You will spend $$ getting back and forth to town and there is NOTHING to do and the people are RUDE.

I spent 4 nights with two friends, been in Thailand for one month and could not wait to be out of there. We went on a free tour and met other guests who were also staying near by, they were also baffled of the location. No shops near, beaches are horrific and The staff at 'The Sea House Beach Resort' were appalling. Do your self a favour everyone and do not go any where near this hotel or 'Had Yao'. Good Luck :)
